Kuchitsu is a 6 level wad for Doom II. It was developed by Memfis, who is a fairly competent Russian mapper and speedrunner. The maps are pretty short and sweet, with the longest being the last one. Memfis describes them as being "easy (for me anyway)", and he's right. With the exception of the final map, these maps are bitesized and fairly low to medium difficulty. The final map is mostly difficult because of the abudance of acid everywhere. It should be noted that the maps are designed for pistol starts and ultra-violence difficulty. I didn't know this when i started, so i played continuously on UV. There are a few nasty encounters before the final map, such as on map 05. The start ambush and far end of the map in the hedgemaze are uncomfortable, but not unbeatable. Memfis intentionally made a bottleneck for the hedgemaze that the player can fit through, but not the monsters, as they can't use advanced movement like the player can. All in all, very fun and quick wad. Deserving of its 2013 Cacoward
