Indifference is a single level by Andy Leaver that replaces Doom I's E1M2. It was published on April 05, 2002. Andy Leaver has a extensive history of mapping, having particpated in several Community Chest/CChest packs, as well as made a large amount of Doom I maps. This one is one of the latter, and it's phobos themed (no hell textures or blood lakes). Indifference offers a massive amount of enemies and tight corridors to fight them in. Lots of pinkies, zombies of the rifle and shotgunner variety, and imps. And just as well because there's already so many enemies. Seriously, the beginning of the map is pure insanity. It gives you ample ammo and health to keep you ticking, so long as youre careful, and backtracking for cover is a must. I wouldn't say its annoying either, surprisingly. Its chaotic, fast paced, and balls to the wall, but it's actually very fun. My only real complaint is that there's several silent monster closets. You can't hear them when they open and their occupants will happily shred the unsuspecting marine. But frankly, thats a skill issue. This map doesn't have a Cacoward as it predates their creation by a couple of years (released in 2002, first Cacoward was 2004), but I feel that it would've definitely earned one.
